Slate Outlook

There has been a lot of shifting going on with rotations after the deadline so a bunch of our future streamers has changed including today’s pick. Speaking of today, it’s a tough one and a day I would skip for tomorrow. Like, stream ahead for tomorrow because there are plenty of options meanwhile today’s top option is only rated a 6.5.

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

We are going to take a shot with Janson Junk against the Oakland Athletics. Junk isn’t very exciting in terms of strikeouts but he did have a 3.88 ERA in AAA with a low WHIP and low walk rate. I think his Junk stuff (see what I did there) will be able to keep the Athletics at bay.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

Janson Junk works here but if you are looking for another option I would grab Kyle Freeland. Freeland is on the road against the Padres (I know this sounds crazy) but he does have a 3.57 ERA on the road with a 3.55 FIP and 1.17 WHIP.

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

In shallow leagues I would give Johnny Cueto a go since he takes on the Rangers who strike out a lot and he continues to pitch well. In July he held a 2.12 ERA with a pedestrian 3.97 K/9 but sometimes it helps to ride the hot hand.

Future Picks

Friday 8/5: Drew Smyly vs MIA and Dean Kremer vs PIT

Saturday 8/6: Austin Voth vs PIT

Sunday 8/7: Tyler Wells vs PIT
