Slate Outlook
On this Friday we are hit with a small slate, roughly eight options. No one truly stands out but two of them do come in with a 7.0 rating. There are more options this weekend so if you can, I think I would skip today.
Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)
We have to take a shot here with Jake Odorizzi against the Oakland Athletics! He takes on an offense that has consistently been bad this entire season so this becomes a no-brainer.
I know this sounds kind of crazy, but I think I would roll with Patrick Corbin against the Atlanta Braves. Here’s the thing, Corbin has been very good lately. In his last five starts, he has a 3.49 ERA and in his last three starts, he has a 22.5 K-BB% and 12.3 SwStr%. His velocity has gone up a tick and because of it, he has taken a step up in terms of performance. The Braves are tough but they have a decently high strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers so why not?
Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)
Odorizzi is rostered in 12% of leagues, for deeper leagues I would lean on Andre Pallante. He has been okay but the Reds’ offense struggles big time on the road so we are just going to pick him based on matchup alone.
Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)
Jake Odorizzi
Future Picks
Saturday 7/16: Michael Pineda @ CLE
Sunday 7/17: Steven Matz vs CIN
