Slate Outlook
Like yesterday we have run into a really great slate for Sunday. We have three really solid options with a few decent ones to back it up. Definitely go for it this week to try and grab strikeouts or even ratios. For those in head-to-head leagues good luck today! Sunday’s are insanely fun!
Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)
Our streamer for today is going to be David Peterson as he takes on the Marlins once again. Am I tempting fate by picking him as our streamer with him facing the same team back to back? Perhaps. But as I said…always streamer left-handed pitchers against the Marlins. They are last in wRC+ and near the top when it comes to striking out against them.
If David Peterson is taken then you can go with Brady Singer as he takes on the Oakland Athletics. Singer has been up and down this season as he has had some really good runs and some really bad runs. Right now he is in the middle but he takes on an Athletics offense, one that I think he can take advantage of. Perhaps this leads to him starting another good run?
Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)
In deep leagues, Peterson is likely rostered which means you have to look towards Beau Brieske. Briekse isn’t much to look at in terms of underlying statistics but he does have a decent SwStr% and K-BB% in his recent starts. That plus his weak opponent in the Diamondbacks makes me think this can work out.
Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)
David Peterson works here but if he is taken I would take a shot with Roansy Contreras. Contreras takes on the Rays who surprisingly haven’t been all that when facing right-handed pitchers. Roansy has been fantastic so far this season with a 2.89 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 23.8 K%. It’s tough to find any holes in his game besides him never completing six innings.

In last week’s NFBC pick we went with Kyle Freeland who pitched really well against the Marlins. He pitched seven innings where he allowed two earned runs with five strikeouts.
