Slate Outlook
After two small slates and a horrendous one from yesterday, we are finally back to having decent options! Which is great since it’s the weekend and all! Today we are rolling with three pitchers who have a 7.0 rating but we also have four solid options after that. Let’s discuss!
Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)
As mentioned above we are going with two options today. Our first option is Alex Faedo as he takes on the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks can be an easy offense to face as they don’t match up great against right-handed pitchers and have a low wRC+ in the last seven days. While Faedo didn’t fare well against two tough matchups with Boston and the White Sox he did have a 2.92 ERA in seven starts before that. He does better against weaker offenses.
Our second option for today is Brad Keller and this is strictly a match-up play. It’s hard not to like any pitcher facing the Athletics who have an insanely high SwStr% and insanely low zone contact rate in the last week.
Your third pick for today…I know we are going wild today…is Zach Davies. Davies has been impressive lately with seeing an uptick in strikeouts while also still inducing a lot of weak contact. He takes on the miserable Detroit Tigers offense and when you have a hot pitcher going against the league’s worst offense you jump all over it.
