Slate Outlook
As I mentioned yesterday, today is not the best day to stream a pitcher. Our highest rating of the day is at just 6.6 and you will see three pitchers with that rating, then it is all downhill from there. Of course, if you are in a head-to-head league and you need strikeouts you pull the trigger but otherwise, I would run from this slate. Run!
Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)
It looks like we like to pick on the Arizona Diamondbacks here. We are going with right-hander Zach Thompson. You might not know this but Zach Thompson actually hasn’t been bad in his last five starts. He pitched 24.2 innings leading to a 2.55 ERA, 3.78 xFIP, and impressive 0.97 WHIP. The strikeouts are minimal but he did face some formidable offenses in this stretch like the Dodgers and Cardinals.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)
Being rostered in just 7% of leagues Jakob Junis is our deep-league streaming option. I have talked about Junis in the past and how he is basically just a two-pitch pitcher but the Giants can work with that. Just look at Kevin Gausman, although Junis’ breaking ball isn’t nearly as good as Gausman’s. But you get my point! He takes on the Marlins who have had a lackluster wRC+ in the last seven days.
Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)
In shallow leagues, I think I would take a shot with Zach Plesac in Baltimore. The ballpark will help him and the Orioles like the Marlins haven’t shown a lot of life in terms of offense. They also aren’t as good against right-handed pitchers.

In last week’s NFBC pick we went with Zach Davies as he took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. He absolutely dominated them going 7.2 innings allowing zero earned runs with six strikeouts.
