Slate Outlook
Today is a bit of a top-heavy slate as we actually don’t have a ton of options. After our top choice who is ranked 7.2 the following streamers fall down to a rating of just 6.6. Then after two pitchers at 6.6, we drop down to 6.0 and even 5.0 for the rest of them. In other words, grab our pick but if you can’t just move on.
Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)
Our streamer for today is JT Brubaker. On the season Brubaker holds a 4.15 ERA and 1.38 WHIP but the ERA is due for some positive regression if you look at his 3.48 xERA, 3.92 FIP, and 4.15 xFIP. What’s even more impressive is if we run his numbers for the month of May. In May he had five starts where he had a 2.63 ERA, 3.29 FIP, 3.63 xFIP, and 3.74 SIERA. His strikeout rate was 24.4% and his WHIP dropped down to 1.28. Why? because he is going more slider-heavy and is trying to feature his curveball and changeup less. I think Brubaker is onto something here and he takes on the Diamondbacks who have struggled against right-handed pitching all season.
Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)
JT Brubaker.
Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)
JT Brubaker.
