Slate Outlook

Today’s slate has a few good options with all of them being available in deeper formats. In fact, all of the pitchers for today are rostered under 14% in both Yahoo and ESPN combined. I actually don’t think this has ever happened. Anyway, some solid options that are for sure on your wire where you can take advantage.

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

Chase Silseth has been the latest trend among starting pitchers to pick up in leagues. In his first start, he pitched six innings where he allowed zero earned runs and struck out four hitters. He once again gets a matchup with the Athletics who as usual are bottom of the barrel in wRC+, SwStr%, and LD%. This is a good matchup and makes plenty of sense.

If he is taken look no further than my boy Tyler Wells! Wells has an 18.6 K-BB% and 3.72 SIERA in his last three starts. His 4.18 ERA on the season comes with a 3.56 xERA showing that he can induce weak contact from his opponents. He takes on the Tampa Bay Rays who have been okay as an offense and certainly have not been running hot.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

Both Chase Silseth and Tyler Wells qualify here. You can also look at Jakob Junis who has been great this season when pitching. He seems to be a little bit of a one to two-pitch pitcher but San Francisco is good with pitchers like that. They just tell them to throw their best pitch a ton and it works. He gets a tougher matchup against the Padres but it is in San Francisco so that should help.

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

Cole Silseth!
