Slate Outlook

On a day where there aren’t a ton of games we actually have five options that I would consider streaming. The rest is a straight-up crapshoot unless you truly believe Luis Gil has a fantastic skillset and he could take on the Chicago White Sox in Chicago. To note, I love Gil but he has been horrendous in AAA this season. Either way, today is a solid streaming day!

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

Our pick for today will be James Kaprielian as he takes on the Detroit Tigers. In Kaprielian’s last start he dominated the Minnesota Twins by throwing 5.2 innings and tallying seven strikeouts. His velocity is slightly up from last season and he is throwing his slider more than ever. As for the Tigers, well, they are the Tigers. They have a poor wRC+, zone contact rate, and SwStr% in the last seven days. They are more prone to right-handed pitchers and should easily fall in line to Kaprielian.

Your backup option is Tyler Anderson, a pitcher who has been pitching really well. On the season he holds a 2.78 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and the underlying metrics to match it. He takes on the Philadelphia Philles and offense which can be lethal but at the same time can be stagnant, hopefully, it is the latter. Anderson is a fine second option.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

As for deep leagues, if Kaprielian is taken, Taylor Hearn isn’t a bad option and is only rostered in 1% of leagues. Hearn has shown flashes of strikeout upside and he faces the Royals who make a lot of contact in the zone but they do chase often. Maybe Hearn can work that to his advantage.

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

For shallow leagues, I am still taking a shot with Taijuan Walker here. He takes on the Nationals but they struggle to make contact inside the zone and I think Walker possesses serious strikeout upside.
