Slate Outlook

Today’s slate is much better than yesterday’s with a lot more options. I think it is a bit top-heavy but still solid. The top seven options all have a K-BB% near or above league average. I don’t see a ton of strikeout potential but I do see a lot of ratio potential. If you can wait tomorrow’s slate is the one to attack with but if not, your best options are below.

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

Our main streamer pick for today is Chad Kuhl. Chad Kuhl has been on one lately, he isn’t getting a ton of strikeouts but he has a 1.90 ERA and 0.85 WHIP. That’s hard to ignore. In his last three starts, he has a 3.81 SIERA, 13.0 K-BB%, and a 3.66 FIP. Nothing mind-blowing but still good. He takes on the Diamondbacks’ offense who isn’t as bad as we thought but they still aren’t very good.

Tyler Anderson is our second option for today. Talk about pitching well, Tyler Anderson boasts a 2.55 ERA and 15.7 K-BB% on the season. He is another pitcher who won’t get you strikeouts but solid ratios are in play. The Cubs have been one of the worst teams in terms of making contact in the zone as of late so Anderson should be able to take advantage of that and perhaps he gets more strikeouts than we think.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

Tyler Anderson is our deep league streamer but if you need another option I would look towards Glenn Otto. Otto definitely has the highest upside in this slate but he faces the Yankees. If he had an easier opponent he would easily be the number one streaming option. Otto has a 27% strikeout rate in two starts so maybe he can keep it going.

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

Chad Kuhl or Tyler Anderson.

Future Picks

Saturday 5/7: Chris Paddack @ OAK
