Slate Outlook

I decided to add this little portion to our daily article because I think it will help your view of the overall landscape of the day. Today is a small slate which isn’t surprising because we all know on Thursday’s not every team plays. This is a slate I would certainly stream with because I think we have some solid matchups but I will say most of these pitchers’ underlying numbers are mediocre. Which in turn means it’s a bit more risky than usual. Check out your best options below!

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

With today’s pick, I am going to roll with Adrian Houser who has pitched pretty well this season. He currently holds a 2.53 ERA and 18.4 K% but most importantly he has continued to create weak contact. The Reds can be a pesky offense at times but on the road, they aren’t the same so I think this should work out.

If Houser is rostered I would take a shot with Nick Martinez. The numbers for his last three starts aren’t eye-opening at all but he takes on Miami who struggles to make contact in the zone. I think time is ticking for Martinez and he likely knows that so perhaps he is extra motivated for this start as well.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

Adrian Houser and Nick Martinez are both below the 15% rostered threshold. You could also take a shot with Chris Archer as he takes on the Baltimore Orioles. He has been kind of meh as well though so it’s a bit risky.

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

If you are in a shallow league I would grab Taijuan Walker if he is out there. The matchup against the Phillies isn’t a fun one but Walker has looked different and was impressive before getting hurt. This would be an add and hold acquisition instead of just a streamer one.
