Jameson Taillon ended up going 4.2 innings allowing two earned runs with four strikeouts. He let up seven hits so it definitely didn’t help you in terms of WHIP. Taillon continues to struggle to put it all together and I’m surprised he hasn’t pitched better so far this season. He is definitely still a hold in everything but 10-team leagues and hopefully he can figure it out soon.
Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)
Our streamer for today is someone who has been pitching pretty darn good, Tyler Anderson. So far this year Anderson has an 18.0 K%, 2.82 SIERA, and a 12.4 SwStr% so he has looked pretty good. The Tigers have a high strikeout rate so far this season against left-handed pitchers making Anderson intriguing because perhaps he gets you strikeouts in this outing, something he normally doesn’t do.
Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)
Tyler Anderson is just 14% rostered so he will be our deep league option as well. If he is rostered Corey Kluber is a decent dark horse streamer for the day. His underlying metrics aren’t the greatest but if he can just get passed Buxton he should be fine against that Twins lineup.
Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)
If Matt Brash is out there in your league, he is worth a shot. Brash has one of the highest Stuff+ numbers out there and he has extreme strikeout capability. The problem with Brash is his command can be shaky and hitters are starting to lay off his breaking stuff. If he can adjust back Brash could really put up some gaudy numbers.
