Heyyyyyy Daulton Jefferies worked! It honestly made a ton of sense as the Orioles continue to struggle and Jefferies has some upside. He was able to pitch six innings without letting up a run and recording five strikeouts. Overall it was a fantastic day! I must say, I am shocked we are doing this good in April but I am definitely not complaining and I probably just jinxed myself. Here are our stats so far:

ROS% IP ER H BB K ERA WHIP Record
50% 65.0 26 64 18 90 3.60 1.26 8-6
30% 64.0 19 58 17 80 2.67 1.17 8-6
15% 51.2 22 60 22 68 3.83 1.59 6-8

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

Our streamer for today currently has a Stuff+ ranking higher than Clayton Kershaw, Jose Berrios, and Justin Verlander. That man is Tyler Wells! For those who don’t know what Stuff+ is, it is a metric created by Eno Sarris that has proven to predict pitcher performance in season better than K-BB%. It’s pretty glaring that Wells is this high on the list and although his numbers in two starts aren’t great he has been able to induce a good amount of whiffs. Wells gets the Oakland Athletics offense that is struggling in terms of strikeout rate and SwStr% Take a shot and he might surprise you.

Another solid option is Wells’ opponent Paul Blackburn. We have talked about him enough lately, to summarize…he has increased his velocity and changed his pitch mix making him an intriguing option. He takes on the Orioles offense which has struggled in everything except for hitting line drives. Look to Blackburn if you want solid ratios.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

Everyone who we listed is available in deeper leagues, Tyler Wells is the pick but the backup option is Paul Blackburn.

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

See above!
