I know! I should never have gone against my own rule! Never. Stream. Rookies. In. Their. First. Start. Okay onto Lodolo overall. Lodolo throws sidearm-ish and rocks a killer sinker where if he hits his spots seems almost unhittable. His curveball looked pretty good as he was able to grab some whiffs from it. Overall I see the upside here.

He had a pretty smooth first inning but in the second inning, he ran into a ton of trouble. He lost all of his command and had trouble throwing just one strike. His second inning went like this: Ground out, hit by pitch, strikeout, walk, walk, walk, hit by pitch, and then a lineout. What I did like was the fact that he came out in the third and didn’t walk a single hitter. Sure he let up a home run but he did get a strikeout and rebounded nicely in terms of command. I would hold onto Lodolo and see what he gives you in his second start.

Today’s Streamer (Under 30% rostered)

I am experiencing horrible flashbacks with this pick. I took this pitcher as my first streamer last season against the lowly Texas Rangers and he exited after just 1.1 innings with six earned runs. The name of this pitcher is…Brad Keller. Keller pitched well in his first start against Cleveland lasting six innings without giving up a run. He didn’t let up a single barrel and had a surprising 13.0 SwStr%. I really hope Keller’s success can continue as he takes on the Tigers whose offense is currently fourth-worst in terms of wRC+.  Keller works if you are looking for ratios, a win, and a quality start. Let’s get it Keller!

Okay sometimes I suck and the wording in red font above is essentially not relevant. It is Greinke going today not Keller. We will be rolling with Josh Fleming and let’s hope for decent ratios.

To note, there aren’t a lot of options again and if Keller is already rostered I would look towards Cole Irvin or Dane Dunning. Both make me a bit uneasy though and it is probably better you stream a long relief pitcher.

Deep League Streamer (Under 15% rostered)

Brad Keller!

Shallow League Streamer (Under 50% rostered)

You guessed it, Brad Keller.
