Hitters
DJ Peters (rostered in 8% of Online Champions League): At this point of the season, opportunity counts. And he has that in Texas. Granted the pop (11 home runs in 164at bats) comes with the downside of strikeouts (62). He’s hitting only .207 on the season but .250 in September. Worth a shot if you need cheap power.

Brad Miller (rostered in 4% of Online Champions League): Miller is eligible all over the field. Literally. Corner infield, middle infield, and outfield as well. Did I mention he also hits home runs? Need some late-season pop, Miller could help you, and he can do it at almost every spot on your roster. He has 18 home runs but like Peters, also whiffs at a high clip.

Thairo Estrada (rostered in 10% of Online Champions League): While it may appear that he is in the short side of a second base platoon, Estrada has been playing more and showing some pop. His platoon partner is the fragile Tommy La Stella, so Estrada could get more opportunities with La Stella battling a side ailment. He has three home runs in the last two weeks and doesn’t strike out much. Worth a speculative bid if you need help up the middle.

Pitchers

Andrew Chafin (rostered in 7% of Online Champions League): Hey, who needs vulture saves? Chafin could get chances here in the last two weeks given that Oakland does not have a certifiable closer. You could do way worse. He earned a save last week and appears to be splitting the role with the ageless Sergio Romo.

Nick Anderson (rostered in 5% of Online Champions League): Coming off the IL and into the Tampa bullpen, who will his role be? We don’t know, but in a way we do, because…well this is Tampa. Do not be surprised if he gets save chances when he gets back into the bullpen this week.

Tyler Wells (rostered in 1% of Online Champions League): Wells quietly has been pretty good for Baltimore, and has been converting opportunities when he gets them. I would guess that he has the job, even though manager Brandon Hyde continues to say it is a committee. That being said, Cole Sulser got the save last night. Wells has earned a save in each of the last two weeks.

Good luck in the coming weeks and hope you can bring home some hardware! You have earned it.
